Egg-Free Chocolate Cake

Ingredients –

  1. All Purpose Flour – 190g
  2. Dark Cocoa Powder – 30g
  3. Caster/ Powdered Sugar – 200g
  4. Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
  5. Baking Powder – 1 tsp
  6. Butter – 100g
  7. Cream Cheese – 60g
  8. Dark Chocolate – 30g (I used 54% Dark)
  9. Warm Milk – 140g

Procedure –

  1. Prepare any mould of your choice, with butter and flour. I used a 9″x4″ loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, sift together Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Cocoa Powder
  3. In another bowl, whip together, softened Butter, Cream cheese, Sugar till light and Fluffy.
  4. Add cooled melted Chocolate and beat again.
  5. Alternately fold the dry ingredients and milk into the fats.
  6. Pour over the baking tray, bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 50-60 minutes. Do not open the oven door till at least 3/4 the way through, else the cake will lose it’s shape.
  7. Bake till fully cooked though, check by inserting a skewer.
  8. Cool it down completely before cutting into it.
