Smriti’s Special School was founded by Pastry Chef and former Architect, Smriti Iyer, in 2014, operating out of her parents’ house. In 2017, the school opened its first official space, AR.CH. STUDIO. Our motto is “There are No Rules.”

At SS School, we prioritize detailed education, from the basics to intermediate and advanced techniques. We emphasize the quality and origins of ingredients, understanding the science behind recipes, and perfecting techniques. Our students are encouraged to be inquisitive and experimental to explore new flavors and designs. We have taught over 4000 students, both online and in-person, in 8 cities across India, including Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh.

Over the recent years, our focus has been on delving deeper into the rich cultural heritage of India and its influence on the world of pastry. With India’s diverse geography, cuisine, and cultural traditions, Chef Smriti has been exploring different regions of the country to create unique and innovative pastry interpretations. Through this journey of discovery, we aim to showcase the beauty and depth of Indian culture in the world of pastry.
